Childhood memories of the Calabrian countryside
tantalized Calogero Calì, standing out against his
drab life as a big city attorney. Craving more than the
metropolitan hubbub of Milan, Calogero jumped at the opportunity
to purchase Rocca di Castagnoli and quickly built his own
rural paradise there. Encompassing more than 1500 hectares
of which 220 are vineyards, the estate now produces two
Chianti Classico Riservas as well as a white IGT blend and
the famous IGT red Stielle. Under the watchful eye of enologist
Maurizio Alongi, Rocca di Castagnoli has earned itself a
place among the top Super Tuscan wineries.
