Cesani Vincenzo Cesani migrated to Tuscany from
his native Marche, attracted by the congenial, funloving
work attitude of the Tuscans. "Every activity on the
farm became a community festa, from raising a new barn to
the harvest of the olives in autumn." His daughter
Letizia has helped him establish a new reputation for San
Gimignano reds with the success of their renowned 'Supertuscan'
Luenzo, awarded Gambero Rosso's "Tre Bicchieri"
award for the second time in 2002. Their vineyards sit on
the highest slopes of the area where Vernaccia grapes could
not thrive but where the native Sangiovese has found a home
to express its soft and lush side.
