Advisory:
Please note that in order to protect wines from being damaged,
IWM will not send shipments via Ground or 2nd Day Air service
to areas experiencing extremely inclement weather. If you
require an immediate shipment, select Next Day Air service
by our selected carrier. Please feel free to contact us

Shipping & Handling
Please note, orders are processed within 48 hours if placed
between Monday and Friday before 5:00pm (EST). To guarantee
this service, please contact a representative at 212.473.2323.
Fees:
Orders within Manhattan will be delivered. Please include
apartment/suite number and any special delivery instructions.
An adult must be present during business hours to receive
and sign for packages. A delivery fee of $12.75 will
be charged for orders totaling less than $175; delivery
in Manhattan is free for orders totaling $175 or more
for a single delivery.
UPS ground shipping is available for orders sent to most
states. UPS shipments will be charged along with the order.
FedEx will be used for shipments to certain locations; these
shipments will be charged by FedEx to the credit card provided
for the order. Please note that shipping is not available
to P.O. Boxes.
Handling costs apply to all shipments sent outside Manhattan
and will be charged along with the order.
Restrictions:
Shipments to
Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Utah and Washington are limited to non-alcoholic items such as glassware, books,
and antique corkscrews. IWM similarly ships non-alcoholic
items worldwide and will charge the applicable UPS fees.
Weather Conditions:
Extreme weather conditions can damage wine. IWM recommends
second-day shipping outside Manhattan for all urgent orders
placed during particularly hot or cold months and will not
be responsible for damage to orders placed for regular ground
shipping at these times. For help determining how and when

Wine Club Shipping
Orders within Manhattan will be delivered; a delivery charge
of $12.75 per month applies for the Exploration and Big Wines wine club
and will be charged along with membership and other fees.
UPS ground shipping will be used for most members; these
shipments will be charged along with membership and handling
fees. FedEx will be used for certain locations; these shipments
will be charged monthly by FedEx to the card provided here.
Handling costs apply to all orders outside Manhattan and
will be charged along with membership and other fees. Shipping
and handling rates will vary depending on location and
typically fall between $18.00 and $23.00 per month based
on standard UPS Ground estimates. Expedited services
are available upon request. We cannot ship to P.O. Boxes.
Wines are sent monthly (around the 15th of each month)
except in the case of extreme temperatures; changes to
shipment dates will be based on the discretion of IWM
to avoid exposing wines to harmful weather conditions.
Special shipping requests can alter costs.
General Terms of Purchase
Any wine sold to you from Italian Wine Merchants is sold
in New York and title passes to you, the buyer, in New York.
The buyer is solely responsible for shipment of wine. We
make no representation concerning your legal rights to ship
or receive wine into any state outside New York, and we
cannot ship wine to certain states. By placing an order,
you authorize us to act on your behalf to engage a common
carrier to deliver your order to your selected destination.
You must be 21 years or older to buy wine. By placing your
order with Italian Wine Merchants you certify under penalty
of perjury that you and the recipient are at least 21 years
old. When the wine is delivered, the recipient will be required
to show identification proving that he or she is at least
21 years old. Italian Wine Merchants is not responsible
for errors or omissions. Prices are subject to change due
to availability and issue date. These terms apply to all
sales and are the basis upon which orders are accepted.
They will apply to all future transactions unless stated
otherwise in writing.
